The Bosch Rexroth 4WRE6V16-2X/G24K4/V-822 (R901036556) is a high-performance, direct-operated proportional directional valve designed for subplate mounting with an ISO porting pattern. It features electrical position feedback and requires external electronics for the control of its proportional solenoids, which have a central thread and detachable coil. The valve is engineered to control the direction and size of fluid flow in hydraulic systems. This model is equipped with a spring-centered control spool that ensures reliable return to the central position when deenergized. The central position of the spool is mechanically maintained by compression springs, though it should be noted that this mechanical center does not equate to the hydraulic central position—a distinction made clear during electric valve control loop engagement.

The valve's construction includes a durable housing that supports a control spool, which moves in response to the actuation of one proportional solenoid. This precise movement allows for progressive flow characteristics between ports P to A and B to T through orifice-type cross-sections. It has been designed for two spool positions (Type WREA), with one solenoid and a plug screw replacing the second solenoid found in three-position models. With a size 6 component series X, this valve can withstand a maximum operating pressure of 350 bar and can handle maximum flow rates up to 60 l/min. Users are advised not to adjust the PG fitting or the adjustment nut beneath it as this could result in damage to the valve. Furthermore, internal leakage may occur over time due to its design principle, so precautions should be taken such as ensuring that tank lines do not run dry and potentially installing a preload valve if required by installation conditions.
