This direct-actuated spool valve is characterized by its mechanical actuation and features a spool symbol of P to A. It is capable of handling a maximum pressure as specified in its product group ID and offers multiple ports for versatile connectivity. This model operates on the principle of limiting system pressure, where the secondary pressure is adjustable via an external mechanism. The valve remains open in its initial position, allowing unrestricted flow from channel P to A. The pressure control is facilitated by a piston area that reacts against a compression spring, maintaining the secondary circuit's set pressure level constant. The DR6DP2-5X/150YM valve has an internal signal and pilot oil routing from channel A through the control line, ensuring efficient operation even when external forces affect the actuator.

Should an increase in channel A's pressure occur, the control spool adjusts against the spring to connect channel A with TY, discharging excess hydraulic fluid into the tank and preventing undue pressure increases. An external leakage oil discharge from the spring chamber is executed via channel TY. Additionally, for reverse flow from A to P, there's an option to install a check valve. Monitoring of secondary pressure can be achieved through a dedicated pressure gauge connection. The Bosch Rexroth DR6DP2-5X/150YM valve supports subplate mounting with porting patterns conforming to DIN standards and ISO norms with an optional locating hole. Various adjustment types are available including rotary knob and lockable versions with or without scales, as well as threaded pins with protective caps.
